Let me introduce you to Orpierre, a nice little village in Alpes de Hautes Provence. I've been told recently that this is a well-known place to climbers, at it offers some attractive places. This is a place I really like, it is peaceful, sunny, surrounded by mountains. If you are a climber, have a look at this web site !
     Not too far from Orpierre is a place called Serre-Poncon , where there is a big artificial lake, created when a dam was built on the river. This made a village disappear under water, and only remains the church which was built ontop of a hill. Do not hesitate to enjoy the trip on the boat, especially on a warn and sunny day, it's a breeze.
